Are there any books published on lever action rifles like the Frank de Haas book on bolt action rifles? Something that gives an overview and evaluation of many actions, not just the Winchesters, or just the Marlins etc?

If you know of any good books please post details here.

Being the creator of many of them, I would think that the big blue covered book about John M Browning would offer some good lever gun litrature. Havent read it myself though.

Wolfe Publishing Co. put a magazine a few years back entitled "Legacy of the Lever Rifle". Lot's of pretty good information on lever actions. Hope that helps.

Ah Stu, I *might* still have that magazine lying around somewhere (in my piles of "reference material" - my girlfriend calls it differently ). Remind me to look if you are interested.
