Jason, What type of gun was it, and were the shells hard to eject- is that what you mean? Was recoil stiffer than normal and/or is this a brand new gun? If you just want to post some pics my email is in my profile, I'd be glad to do it for you.

I've got a 10 gauge Browning BPS and none of the emptys ever came out looking like that. But I've never fired a Winchester shell in it, only Federal copper plated magnum 4 shot for wild turkeys.

Check if the chamber has machining marks still in it, they may need to be polished out. My brother has an 870 that had that problem, trap loads worked fine but steel shot was tough to get teh shells to eject. I looked at the chamber and it was ridged with rough machining marks. Polished it and solved the problem.

the shell in the middle was the 5 shell shot out of the box . he also shot a box of federals with no problem . there is not evedence of mis shaped chamber or any scoring on the brass itself BIG THANKS FOR POSTING THE PICS [ 08-25-2003, 19:12: Message edited by: jason.whyte ]
