How do I remove the bolt shroud and safety from a Yugo M48? I am wanting to install a new bolt shroud without a safety and use the Timeny w/ side safety. Thanks, Jesse

McBain--- With the bolt in the rifle and cocked, move the safe to the vertical position. Now, take the bolt out of the action and push in on the shroud lock pin on the left side and unscrew the entire shroud/firing pin assembly. Hold on to the shroud and place the tip of the firing pin in a recess or hole to stabalize it and push down on the shroud until the tip of the cocking piece clears the back of the shroud. It'll take 25 pounds of pressure to do it. Hold it in that position while turning the cocking piece 90 degrees and lift it off the firing pin. Release the pressure on the shroud gently and remove the shroud from the firing pin. The safety will slip right out when lined up to the right side.
