Can anyone compare the quality of the Wheeler Engineering sets sold by Midway to the sets offered by Brownells?

I have a full set of Brownell’s magna-tip’s...and I would assume from the info that the Wheeler set would be comparable in quality and they look to be similarly priced.

I also have a set of fixed bladed drivers and use them far more often than than the replaceable bit’s, just because they are handier to grab with one hand when you need one.

It’s nice to have all those bits, but after having my set for about 35 years or so there are far more bits in the box I have never used, than ones I have.

Rick, you and I must be twins.

I also prefer the Magna-Tip Drivers because the bits are glass hard and they shatter, they don't bend, which means you just pick out a few piece of broken driver and start over rather than cosmetically touch up the screw.

Needless to say, they are great for grinding down to fit your slot perfectly.

80% of the time however I go for a fixed blade driver because they are right in front of my face. I've got about 20 that I regularly use and this covers a wide variety of screws.

I recommend that if you get a driver set, make it a Magna-Tip or a Forster red-handled set.

I've got a couple or 3 sets, but by far my favorite are the forster sets.
