Gents; My son's shotgun doubled on the front trigger yesterday. The gun could be fired as a single shot with the rear trigger. I bought a shotgun performance kit (reduced power springs) by Wolff from Brownells awhile ago. I am considering taking on this dis assembly and repair myself. Any suggestions from the group? Or should I send this to a Stevens double specialist? Any whom would that be? I am in Central OH. Many thanks in advance, Tim

Double triggers or single? In either case I would pull it out of the wood and take a good look at things. Might just need a good cleaning, but sometimes the sear notch can get worn and if this is the case it would need to be rebuilt or a new hammer (probably cheaper if it can be found). C.G.B.

Dbl triggers I thought the same thing about the sear/hammer connection. Sent it off to be repaired today. I don't want to mess this up being that it's my kid's and all. Thanks,
