Hi guys, I have a 2 year old win 94 big bore in 444, it's the black shadow version. tonight while coming out of the woods I went to unload it and it jammed up.This happens every so often with it, I thought at first i was short stroking it, but this is the second time it has happened that I was very careful not to do that. What is happening is that the shell in the magazine is coming out which does not let the lever close. Is there a part you guys can reccomend to replace what ever is causing this, or should I send it back to winchester, or should I just sell it and buy a marlin. The gun is a good shooter so I hate to get rid of it but if there isn't a fix to it thats what I'll do. p.s. this isn't my first lever, but it is my first winchester, I haven't had this problem with either of my marlins. Thanks for any advice, JT

Don't sell the rifle. If it's a shooter, it's worth fixing and keeping. From what you describe, I don't think it's a major fix. If I remember correctly, when a round is elevated on the ramp for chambering, another one comes almost fully out of the magazine underneath the ramp at the same time. Then, when you close the lever, it is pushed back into the magazine by some mechanism. I think that's where you're having your problem. If you don't get a good response here, post it on the leverguns.com forum at: http://leverguns.sixgunner.com/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=2 That place is the mecca for lever nuts. Good luck, RSY

JT, It sounds as if the cartridge cut-off on the link is too short. Could be the incorrect link or may have broken. Call USRAC Product Service, they may repair it free of charge. Good Luck, Headache
