We (Sound Metal Products) have finally got a few frames made for the Enfield. I'd like help on something.

Can any of you give me the outside dimensions of the P 17 magazine box..I understand the 30S is the same.

Many of you sent me boxes and actions to measure..just want to make sure I get it right the first time.

Please PM me at Duane@customgunandrifle.com

Thanks much! Seeya Duane

Outside rear 1.034"; front .885"; length 3.825". Measured a Rem 30 and a 1917...both same. Nice to see you proceeding with the bottom metal. If you need anymore info pls ask. Ron

PS Any pictures of your frames?

If you check the earlier post on filling the hole or "pond" in a Model 1917 or P.14 you will see my post about a BSA Model D rifle at Holt's.

This has the correct "de-milled" BSA bottom metal. I have here in UK the correct stock for this Model D if Mr Wiebe wants to PM me I'll send a picture of said stock.

How BSA used to re-shape the bottom metal on their Model D "custom" conversion of the old Model of 1917.
