Someone posed the question and I knew someone here would know the answer.

One sees the GP100 and Security Six advertised for sale that are DAO guns.

Will installing a "normal" hammer return this gun to both actions or Was there also a modification to the trigger group to create the DAO revolver?

I believe it is just the hammer that needs to be replaced. The problem is that Ruger will not sell you the hammer, you have to send them the whole revolver. They will keep the current hammer and send you back the modified revolver.

You may want to try contacting someone like Hamilton Bowen, as he has lots of take-off parts.

Any differing opinions on this before I tell the guy what his purchase will require?
