After many years of drooling, I finally acquired an SA 22. I was never any good using iron sights and old age (83) makes it even worse. There is a screw fore and aft of the rear sight that appears to be meant for a scope(?). Any ideas? I use big scopes on my other rifles but want something unobtrusive that won't spoil the lines or mood of the Browning (1957). Small scope, peep, or even some sort of red dot, maybe? Maybe one of the older refield 22 scopes. Nice blue finish and a smaller tube diameter.

Yeah, there is a cantilever mount for it. Vintage K4 would look good on it.

I have one of the old redfied cantilever mounts you can have if you want it. I have no use for it.
