I keep a can of Rust-oleum "Painters Touch" in flat black and a small paint brush or "Q" tip handy for touching up small scratches, or, to touch up barrel channels that have been floated. It blends in pretty good and is fairly tough.

Before adding paint that may not match the colorant used try taking a rag with some hot Lacquer thinner and rubbing the area gently and then agressively to try and simply blend the scratch. If it doesn't work you may have to go ahead and repaint.

Mcmillan will re-paint any Mcmillan stock for $44.

I sent one back and it came back with a better finish than when it was new.
