Has anyone ever put a forend hanger into the front of a High Wall coilspring action? Do any of you experts thing it could be done?

When I first had my Browning 1885 it had a noticable flex when picking up the gun by the forend.When I investigated I found that the hanger didn't fit flush with the receiver so it wiggled.The cause was that inspection stamps on the receiver prevented a flush fit .I filed these smooth.Then the hanger fit flush, no wiggle ! Didn't do a before and after test ,but after the gun had no problem at all getting 1" or better with any factory load of 45-70. So I would say either have no contact between barrel and forend or full contact.
