Hello Folks – could someone advise if the Blackburn trigger (now made by Swift) will function correctly with a standard military style (notched) cocking piece.

Thanks

Yes it will.

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

Are these the steel triggers? I'd look them up but got to run in a few minutes! Thanks.

Nice to know that the steel one is around, but why would someone pay 125.00 for an alloy trigger! Roll Eyes

Heck..you probably know this, but it's only the housing that's alum. working parts are steel..same as say..Timney.

Some have expressed "concern" that the pin holes might elongate over time, but I've never seen that. Fact is that my own 270 (now on it;s second barrel) I installed a Timnmey Sportsman in 1986...adjusted it and never touched it since.

Aluminum housings seem to work just fine over the long haul.

Your right Duane, but I've never spent 125.00 on a Timney trigger of any kind...
