Anyone know where I could get a military stepped 7x57 bbl (preferably new)? Someone was advertising a couple years back, but I don't recall who. I picked up a VZ-24 & was thinking about replacing the bbl with a 7x57 to keep it cheap and all that.

Ooops, I have a dozen or so of them but I have been using them for tent pegs for the last few years..I will go through them and see if I have one with a good barrel but it will definately have to be re blued....I will get home on Jan 15 or there abouts...If I find a decent barrell out of the bunch I will give it to you.

Try Sarco, check out their ad in the Shotgun News, or http://www.sarcoinc.com/ . They still have them for about $35 (as of October). If not, you can try Reese Surplus (RSI). http://www.reesesurplus.com/ .
These are 19-20" stepped barrels, in the white. They will need some work to polish due to slight surface "staining", and one of mine had some light pittig on the outside.
If all else fails, The Sportsman's Guide has them for @ $55.
I cannot help if you want a longer barrel.

Also check the online auction places-Ebay, auctionarms, gunbroker-- I often see them there. Currently there is longer one on Gunbroker.

As far as I know the only milsurp 7x75 barrels available are the ones CrowKiller has mentioned & there are several other sources that have them. These barrels were FN made to be used as replacement barrels for the Brazilian Model 08
rifles. Hope this helps.

All sold out, all of those places say they have no more. You can find them on Ebay for $75.

This is where i got mine. It will fit in vz-24 stock but i had to cut of bayonett lug.I just screwed it on and headspace was fine.
