I just ordered the HTG, but I have a #9 Krieger on mine. By the way they already have the inletting program for the Montana short, so no need to get inletting for a Winchester short and re-inlet the bottom metal.

I just received a stock from Bansners and I am dissappointed in. It is inlet for a win 70 not the Montana. It will require quite a bit of work to get it to fit. The bottom is inlet too long and needs filling and the top has the action inletting too short for the Montana short action. I find this odd since I ordered based on a list provided by Montana that recomended this manufacturer.

I wish Montana would have used the exact footprint of the M70 but they did not.. I sent a barreled action to McMillin for them to inlet into a M70 Supergrade stock. It was done very well. I bedded the action when I received it and the rifle has shot fine.

Their website doesn't list the Montana action yet. Can you send them your Montana action and have them put it into any of the Winchester style stocks? I am doing a short action stainless in .358 Win for a timber rifle, and I want a lightweight stock.
