I know that the 25 remington was chambered in the remington model 30 action, what problems would one face chambering a 93-95 mauser or short action savage for this round? Was the extractor claw modified some how to work with the small case rim?

I cut a ring of appropriate size and silversolder it into the bolt face to get the fit, and then either take some material off the inside of thr extractor to get it closer to center of the bolt, or start out with a new extractor sold for this purpose. You, of course, cut the ring for the ejector slot, and can cut out the bottom for smooth pickup from the magazine. Magazine function is another thing altogether. I haven't tried the Remmington cartridge, but i made a 96 Husky shoot .223. To get it to feed i just mounted a savage 340 magazine into the magwell.
