I'll have to go check but I think you have to remove the firing pin block safety first. _______________________________________________________________________________ This is my rifle, there are many like it but this one is mine. My rifle is my best friend, it is my life.

I had already removed the safety, firing pin and the safety detent. So, I brought it home with me and had 3 beers after dinner ( my wife always said that I was a smart SOB when about half drunk, then I remembered that all you have to do is lift the front of the tang, or tab,and using the tang as a tool turn the sight 90 degrees and lift it up. What screwed me up is the cut that looks like a dovetail, is only for the 2 tabs that are holding the sight in, to be freed. Hope this makes sense, because it is a very easy job. Bernie
