I do not have one, but I would assume they used the same tech data to make M70 actions like previous owners did. Makes sense to, so accessories would still work. You know what assumptions are, though.

I think a good person to ask might be D'Arcy Echols. I don't think he uses FN Mod 70 actions, but he may have looked them over well enough to answer your question(s).

I don't know, but I would be happy to measure my early 2000's vintage (Connecticut factory) left handed long action Model 70's for any dimension you need if it helps at all.

They are the same in all respects as far as guard screw and magazine locations are concerned. The FN action I have in the shop even has the hole drilled and tapped for the center screw although it is not utilized. The magazine boxes interchange. Regards, Bill.
