Barrel Question???

While visiting my father who lives on a boat, he showed me his stainless Browning 9mm pistol made in Belgium. Ser #245RP12799. The barrel is pitted very bad. I told him I would get it replaced for him if he promised to shoot / clean it at least every 6 months.

1) Is this something I can do without screwing it up? (drop in ?)

2)What is a decent barrel to put on it?

3) Where can I get one.

Thanks in advance,

Steve

My Browning HP has had a Barsto barrel for the last 15 years. It is stainless, so that will also help on the boat. http://www.barsto.com/
