M1 Tanker,

I like the 84M bolt handle or at least it's ok because it's functional. Perhaps my statement that "I like the looks of the Ruger bolt more and more" or whatever I wrote was misleading. I meant that I like it in terms of function. Its looks could be improved too but both can be done.

Here is my first statement on the topic from the 24hr link"

"1. The bolt handle comes too close to a scope on the 8400's. Change the location somewhat of where the root of the bolt handle attaches to the bolt body. This would result in a deeper mortise in the stock but more clearance. Also the bolt knobs diameter could be reduced to increase the clearance."

There is no room for my fingers on the 8400 knob as it passes by the scope. Now look at how the Ruger bolt knob turns out and is easily griped or palmed if thats your method. Thats what I mean. Function. Looks can be had as well. They are not exclusive at all to the talented.
