I just got my model 70 back from Spradlins with a full TefCoat job in matte black, including refinishing the scope from gloss to matte. Covered up the few scratches on the gun and some ring marks on the scope, guns looks new. Now it's more weather proof and doesn't have that glossy blue that I don't care for. Leupold reccomends spradlins and it does not void the warranty.

That's a nice looking finish. Dulls down the shine quite a bit but still remains attractive to the eye.

A scope is $70. They have a special going now for the whole gun and scope for 250 including shipping.
