Is Rem oil good for lubricating and rust protection?

I've always thought it was a well refined all around gun oil, never dried gunky, lubricated well. I keep a spray can on my bench for coating anything that's been stripped of protectant with solvents. A quick shot of RemOil and move on. I use it in my shotgun bores after cleaning. As to rust protection I believe something like Ren Wax is probably better in the long run.
