OK, I have sourced a LH Mauser action for my 318 Westley Richards project. I had intended to go for a Dakota but the price and importation are both unattractive.

The action I have come across is a Mauser named push feed, short claw extractor, and looks a bit like a modern Heym. In fact I have a Heym bolt that fits it. It states Obendorf made on the RH side. It has that 60s/70s look to it.

As it appears to be a genuine LH Mauser I find it quite attractive. Cost is 500.

Anyone got any knowledge of this unusual type of Mauser action?

Thanks

Deerdogs,

some years ago a Mauser "Titan" was sold here in Sweden, but Im not sure if that was the factory name or just somethong local used by the importer. "Titan" has nothing to do with titanium metal - its just another greek word for "giant".

Best regards,

Fritz
