Any one have any experience working on these? I want to remove a barrel to try a couple of experiments, but have had no luck. I stripped it down completely to the barrel/reciever, and it appears to be a simple slip fit with a retaining pin. I knocked out the pin, but the barrel wouldn't come out. I clamped the barrel in a vice, and tried a small twist on the action, but it wouldn't budge. I then tried heat with a propane torch, but still no luck. I don't know if the barrel is actually pressed in or if it is just stuck due to the drilling of the crosspin hole. I thought about turning a bushing to drop over the barrel and drive off the action, but there doesn't appear to be enough of a diameter difference to do this. Before I do anything drastic, does anyone have experience removing one of these barrels? | ||
