I found a nice FN 270 and purchased it today. I was going to buy a rifle for a donor action but I think this one is too nice to change. I don't want to bubba it up. The barrel contour would be custom but could be done. Should I rebarrel to a 6mm? Or should I make my other 270 a switch barrel with a .270 and 6mm barrels? Its just a Rem 700 and has no collector value. The new rifle says its a Fab.Nat.D'Armes De Guerre-Herstal-Belgique Serial numer 11XXX. The other post in medium bore rifles says his is in the9,xxx range and he thinks his was, is 1948. Help, Anyone? DWS

Make the M700 into a switch-barrel. Keep the FN as it is.
