I have a gun with a butt plate that has several deep nicks on the edge. Nothing that hurts any pattern on it.

I was wondering. Any one have any ideas on a filler material that would be easy to blend in?

Thanks.

You can have a TIG welder spot it for you and then just file and polish it out.

Brownell's acraglass gel can be colored either black or brown and it'll fill your butt plate nicely. They have a die that's easy to use.

Let it cure and sand it to suit.

If it’s plastic you can buy a new one cheaper than buying the acra-glass and the dye to fix the old one. bewildered

Ok, so tell me where to purchase a Bayard Pieper butt plate for a 24 gauge gun? Of course one that has the Bayard Pieper name and logo on it so as not to ruin the value of the gun.

Might want to try it on the back. Sometimes it won't stick to the plastic. Other times it works great.

I'm not sure I would try to fix it. Any repair like that is as rix of lowering the price.

As usual just my $.02

Wouldn't it have been easier if all of the information was put in the first post?

I agree, why does it take sooooooooo long to get to the meat of the subject. If you people would just mention right up front that you have a hard to replace piece, made of plastic, that needs repairing, we could cut to the chase and get it taken care of within one, maybe two replies. bewildered
