So, I am at the bench the other day and one of the guys from the sales counter comes in and hands me an auto pistol and a holosight. Customer waiting and he doesn't want it to come loose. Well, sure as hell we didn't have any blue threadlocker. What to do? Well, I spied some spare Leupold base screws with the blue Nylok coating. Hmmm, I wonder if I could do that? So, I fired up the propane torch, grabbed the screw head in pliers and heated up the shank. Then, I touched it to a scrap piece of Nylon and dragged it across the surface. This imparted a nice streak of Nylon onto the screw shank. Worked like a champ. No way those are gonna back out!

Great tip Bobster. Similar idea on larger screws I have drilled a shallow hole to hold a piece of weed eater string. Craftsman

I have a loose fitting sight screw I’m going to try this on. Thanks. Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.
