just field stripped and cleaned my "new" remington 742 woodsmaster. now it won't fire. the trigger assembly is cocked when i put it in, it fires, then when you recock the action, it won't fire or stay locked back by the empty magazine. what did i do wrong???? help!!!!!!!!!!!!! *We Band of 45-70er's* "Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat." -Theodore Roosevelt- | ||

that little arm on the side of the trigger housing is probably not in the slot. if I remember right you will have to remove the trigger to get it in right, | |||
