Is the angle they are installed in the stock critical? Best position or angle? Directions in regards to a shotgun is to use stock bolt hole, but if no hole than options exist for best performance if it makes a difference.

i havent' tried them in any angle except as close as possible to parrallel with the bore, per the directions.. they dirs say to either do them that way, or parrallel with the toe angle.

If you are putting this into a rifle for dangerous game hunting, the mercury sloshing around while carrying the rifle can be very LOUD especially to a wounded lion. You will brodcast your position to anything with better ears than yourself. If you used equal weight in lead shot and glassed it so it won't rattle this will give you the same recoil reduction as the spendy and LOUD mercury reducer. I put many of these in rifles while at Dakota and when you lightly tap the butt pad on the ground the rifle goes DOINK!

I have to shake my stock pretty hard to even hear the merc. moving. It may vary from reducer to reducer, might be worth checking before you install one.
