Jim,

Place Fritos in a bowl. Cover with chili of your choice (with or without beans). Sprinkle liberally with shredded cheese. Eat.

C'mon guys, that's like calling Christina Hendicks the redhead version of Roseanne Barr.

This is Frito Chili Pie (served correctly, BTW):

Open the bag, pour on chili cheese and onions (optional) and go for it.

Never heard of Lutefisk. Doesn't sound like I want to try it.
Is it like that nasty Vegemite that I have to buy for Stuart and Annie Elliott when they visit?

It's "cured" white fish of some kind that is like eating rotten fish flavored jello.

What I meant that it's a "Texas version" is that it's a local delicacy. Although Frito pie is accepted almost universally.

I'm a person that wouldn't eat lutefisk on a bet

Lutefisk helped the Vikings rule Russia for 900 years.

I'm thinking of selling Lutefisk freeze pops in a variety of colors. Should be a big hit on a hot summer day.

Glad you got through the storm Butch!

Butch, glad you dodged the bullet or tornado rather.

If anyone is heavy into gun repair, I will be bringing the full AGI Gunsmithing Course with Robert Dunlap. 52 tapes and all the papers.

We were lucky. A lot of damage close to us. We were out of electricity from 4PM yesterday until 6AM this morning. That is a pain. No computer, no radio or TV. Our home phones are all dead as they aren't hard wired. We have no cell service in Poetry and no battery powered radio. My 3yr old great Grand Daughter couldn't understand why I wouldn't turn on the lights. And of course our Grandsons ran the batteries down in our florescence camping lights. Seemed they used them night fishing and forgot to tell us.
Guess what! We went to bed at 8:30PM.

I'm sure it had a great deal to do with training Berserkers, too. were they running toward the enemy or away from more lutefisk?

Butch, if you took a nice fresh fillet of cod and matinated it in a couple of cans of Drano and water for two weeks, then sun dry it you'd have lutefisk. You might have to pee on it once or twice too, to get just the right aroma.

That's exactly how that stuff is made. Cured with Lye. Although I've yet to try the Drano cured version, I'm a Red Devil guy. Big Grin

I grew up on lutefisk, great stuff. My grandfather wrote a poem:

(spoken in a heavy Norwegian accent)
Lutefisk and lefse
copenhagen snoose
every year at christmas time we have a roasted GOOSE.

I had a very nice time at the Shilen Swap Meet Saturday.

I sold several items, bought a couple of guns. I got 3 barrels that I could use. One of my Trinidad School buddies drove up from Houston. He won a Shilen trigger door prize. A friend I came with won a Shilen trigger too.

Butch Lambert was there. David Cristman, a Custom Gun Makers Guild member from Louisiana came again with some beautiful custom Ruger No.1's. I talked to a fellow who flew down from Kansas City. Ed Shilen was there all afternoon.

One of the Shilen employees got me straightened out on anaylizing and correcting crooked bores.

Thank you Wade and Jennifer Hull for hosting a great swap meet again.
