Was trying to find out what else might have same barrel threads as a Howa or Weatherby Vangaurd action. Your response is much appreciated. Don

I'm quite sure they are 26mm X 1.5 pitch. Not much else out there has the same thread....except maybe a S&W 1500..or a Mossberg 1500 or a Mossberg 1700...?

I just completed a barreling a Howa short action last week.

Spent a good deal of time before hand testing to see if the action threads could be chased to 16 TPI. My reason for doing so were so that I could utilize my Spiralock inserts.

After internal threading some round stock to 1.5mm I tried chasing it to 16TPI. Thought the 16.9/1.5mm to 16tpi would work. It didn't to my satisfaction.

Now threaded to 1.5mm and chambered for a shortened 6.5/300wsm.

BTY found that Sako inletting screws work fine while bedding.
