I picked up a SBH here recently for a good deal , but would like to get it rebarreled. It has a 12 inch barrel and I would like it to have about an 8 inch barrel. Since I dont have a local shop or smith around to ask , can anyone give me an idea of about the cost of such an undertaking ? Thanks.

Look up Clements Custom Guns. He does beautiful work on revolvers for a lot less than Bowen, shorter delivery too.

Why don't You just cut and crown it, and replace the F. Sight?
