Fireball, did you take Wilbur Harris up on his offer to help you fix your rifle?
I don't mind seeing a guy get flamed when he deserves it. I just hate to see a whole bunch of people "lumped together" as a-holes when I know they aren't. Wilbur Harris is the sole proprietor of BenchrestCentral.com. As far as I know he has no interest whatsoever in PS or AR magazines.

Wilbur seemed to have a pretty good idea of this fellow's business practices, as did the folks at PS.

With that said, he offered up a couple of names of people that "could" fix it, and recommended that I send the trigger back to Jewell.

He recommended that I contact this fellow's previous employer to see if he had any idea what rock the snake might be under....which was a pretty good idea.

It certainly didn't help, but it was refreshing to know that he'd spent some time in the big house.

Overall, its refreshing that we've got a website, this one, where we can:

This site was started by a group of shooters, whose interests include hunting, target shooting and plain plinking. The idea was to share what we have learned from hunting, reloading, gunsmithing and any other shooting related ideas. We are not affiliated to any company involved in the shooting and hunting sports. So what you will find here are our actual experiences, good or bad. If you have any interesting ideas, or if you have come across anything you think might be of interest to other fellow shooters, please consider sharing it with us, we would love to hear from you.

...without pressure from advertisers, present or potential.

PS magazine is the official magazine of the International Benchrest Shooters. That in itself gives it a good following, it gives benchrest match results. PS like every other rag has a shortage of literate honesty. There are so called writers that I flat won't read anything they write. I think they are on too many payrolls. I get the PS magazine and I like it.

Benchrest.com is a different story. It is a gathering of the best accuracy shooters in the world. Collectively the have more knowledge of what makes a rifle accurate than ALL other sites combined. Another thing that makes them different is most of them know each other.

If Wilbur let to bullsh1t fly there like some of the BS sites, it would loose it worthwhile membership the same day. He created the site for competitive shooters to exchange ideas and stay in touch between matches. It does that rather well. Anyone interested in accuracy can get a wealth of information from that site.

Who spent time in the "Big House"? If it was the gunsmith, I wonder how he got an FFL.
