I have a Remington Varmint in 7-08. It is a true sub MOA shooter with several H/Ls. I was thinking of reboreing (+/- $75) it 284 Win. Then I shot Hornady L/Ms at 2980, and decided that It wasn't worth the bother. I'll reload to shoot and hunt with L/Ms. Now that the 7mm Short UM came out and I'm wondering about the problems with this conversion. How much will it cost to modify the bolt and what kind of 'sane' fps can I expect?. Not that I will, I'm just wondering. capt david troll

The question that instantly comes to my mind is: If this is a true sub moa consistent shooter, why screw with it???
