Gentlemen, Here is my question: I have an Echols Legend in Charley Santoni's hands awaiting the barrelled action to be sent him from the metal man. How does one make sure the Talley mounts are flush with the end of the ejection port rather than hanging over it which I think looks sloppy? Thanks, Jeff

Your metal man should have the rings and scope. You should have already discussed this with him.

I assume you're talking a newer M70 classic action? What caliber?

Jeff, I use Talleys only, and none of my Model 70 Talley bases overhangs the ejection port, whether on post- or pre-64 actions. Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.

I agree with MR, even the 1X bases were OK.
