We have ten synthetic stocks need inletted to L691 SAKO long action (7.75 inches between screwholes). These have the floorplate. stocks are McMillan SAKO classic and SAKO Hunter style. Looking for impossible combination of reasonable turnaround, quality inletting, and reasonable price. The price to beat is McMillan: over $100 per, and 6 to 8 weeks or longer wait. Hoping for a bit faster and cheaper, although Mcmillan does a top quality job fitwise.

Looking for names referrals or phone numbers for quotes. An easy way to pick up $ 500 for the right person with the right equipment. We pay shipping both ways.

I am not familiar with those stocks. Are they inletted correctly but undersize and just need final fitting?

Eight of hte stocks are not inlet at all: virgin stocks. two have been inletted for the action, and just need to have the floorplate and trigger guard inlet for the bottom metal.

All are synthetic fiberglass and will require carbide bits.

IMO, McMillan's price seems quite reasonable for the work involved.

The Mcmillan price is not unreasonable if I want to wait two months for their production run to come to my action model.

If a person has a stock duplicating machine and can set up a jig or clamp fixture to hold these and to knock off ten in a row from the same settings, then there may also be money to be made at a lower price.
