Need takedown procedure for a Rem Mod 81

While not exactly a tough question, I have no info on the takedown procedure for a Remington Model 81 autoloader. A friend wants to trade me one in .300 Savage that's essentially mint. He apparantly has never taken it down. I've never owned one and the info on them seems a bit sparce.-Rob

Unscrew the cap at the end of the barrel/recoil tube to relieve the tension on the recoil spring. From there it's almost the same as an A-5.

If it's near mint why would you mess with it? [Smile]

Also remove forearm and there is a lever used to remove the barrel.
