dgr416Rebore or rebarrel 3006 to 33806
I have a weatherby vanguard that has an awesome stock .I was wondering is it worth rebarreling or just review it .Whicj barrel would be good for this .I would mostly shoot 225 grain and less .
I think I have a new factory barrel for that. PM me if interested.

loud-n-boomerI have gone both routes on rifles. My rule of thumb is if there is something unique about the barrel such as integral features, unique name/provenance, or engraving then rebore. If the barrel is a conventional round barrel from a common factory rifle then rebarrel. As to barrels, I have used McGowen, Douglas, Pac-Nor, Shilen, Obermeyer, and Kreiger, and been happy with all of them. I believe that most of the major barrel makers are making decent barrels these days, so go with what the person who rebarrels the rifle recommends.

AtkinsonReboring is half the cost, and the barrel fits the barrel channel..Everyone Ive had rebored shot fantastic..I used High Plains in every case..
If I want to rebarrel I use Lothar Walthar and consider them the best barrel on the market..
