I am looking for opinions on the mini-mauser action. am thinking about having a 25 copperhead, 25/223, or 25/7.62x39 built and thought that the mini action would be perfect. Also do anybody make stocks for that action?
thanks for any info you might have

Richards microfit lists them on their website. I have been tossing the idea around of building a .20 Tactical on a CD mini but I am also considering the Montana Rifleman action although MR website does not seem to know when they will be available last I checked they were shooting for the 2004 SHOT show. Doesn't look like they made it. Anyway here is the link to RMF stocks if you need....

I have a Charles Mini mauser. I think the quality is very good for what you pay for. I paid $220 for mine new and it the 22-250 base. I am making a 6mmBR out of mine as soon as I get done having the action blue printed. There are no gunsmithing tools on the market for it like the large ring Mauser. I almost have my mandrel finished then I will make the bolt face lapping tool and the receiver lapping tool next. Richards Microfit does have stocks for them. I took a chance and went with them on one called the “Tack Driverâ€.

Wont be a benchrest gun by no means, but a fun accurate shooter I hope.

Is it the same thing as the Interarms Mark X Minimauser? I chambered mine in 270X39 and it is a very good deer rifle for a young man [recoil]. Mine has a real nice piece of wood from Richards Microfit. If anybody wants I can forward e-mail pictures. Butch

I built a thumbhole carbine .223 and a classic shadowline rifle 6 X 45 on minimauser actions from interarms a few years ago.....good guns and I'm happy with them.

I only wish the new ones was backed by a reputable company.....and Chas Daly has proven to me they are NOT!!!

Terry, my gunsmith patterned it after a Rigby he has, copied the express sights, made some custom Talley bases, etc. Weighs about 5.5 lbs w/o the scope.

I'm planning on building up one of the CD mini-mausers in the new 6.8 rem caliber just for S--- & grins. It will be lefthanded and built light for its fun-gun purpose. My gunsmith said he'd have no problems converting the .223 action to handle the reformed .30 Rem case head of the 6.8. Big Grin

Check out this site for a cartridge that is based on the 7.62x39 and can be made on the CZ527 action...

www.65grendel.com

I am shipping my CZ527 in 7.62x39 to Brockman's to have it rebarrelled to this cartridge...
