Can any Ruger No. 1 be converted to a 300 RUM or a 308 Warbird with a barrel change?
If not, which would I need to have?

Anything is possible if you have the cash to spend. It should be a piece of cake especially with a new barrel. The extractor and ejector will need to be worked on a little depending on the caliber. Give Dennis Olson (406)826-3790 a call as I am sure he will be able to help you out. Good luck.

Yes, a #1 can be done in either one. I've chambered #1s for both of those cartridges. Both of them work well in a #1.
