Where can I get a new style safety and shroud
for a prewar M70? Will a new style one fit the
old bolt?

If you are just wanting to change the action of the safety, install a Tilden style safety lever on your pre-war shroud. It moves the lever to the right side of the shroud. Jim Wisner makes them. www.wisnersinc.com He may make the entire post war shroud also. If not, there's Ebay, but hang on to your wallet.

I have a new style shroud I'd sell. It doesn't have any of the little parts or the lever with it but its in minty shape. Pursell is correct. Hold on to your wallet.

Slowfart.

I make a reproduction of the 50's version of the M70 sleeve assembly. This one has the flat under the saftey lever, part number, X2670.
They are only fitting in my shop.
After the sleeve is fitted to the bolt body then the firing pin is refitted to match the new sleeve.

I no longer have any Tilden levers for the pre war sleeves.

If you get a used sleeve make sure it is for the Pre 64 action. The post 64 threads were changed in the indexing so they will not work on the pre 1964 action.
