Guys I have been contemplating a few projects lately.

I have completed most as of yet now I need to polish a few bolts that have not been blued.

They have your 100year old blemishes on them.

I dont want to turn them into chrome, But just freshen them up a bit to make every thing look Like the rest.

What do you suggeast? a 1200 grit sand paper or what?

I will not want to take to much off.

But Just enough to them look more brilliant...

I have a decent Dremmel also that I can use instead of send paper.

Help me out here...

I second the scotch brite. You won't remove any material and it will give it a uniform finish

If you have polishing wheels for your Dremel and some compound , you can finish with it ! 800 grit to knock off the dark spots , smooth with 1000 grit then polish .

I have used 600 grit wet/dry, followed by corcus cloth, followed by 0000 steel wool to remove a bad "jewel" job on a mauser extractor. Seemed to work pretty well and took less than 15 minutes.
