Is there any Inletting reguired to use Williams Bottom Metal? I want to restock a 270 WSM with either an HS Precision or McMillian and was wondering if it is a drop in or much thicker that the factory? It looks thicker on their website.

Thanks,
Mike

It is thicker. If you send the stock to Williams they will inlet it, don't know what the freight is.

Yup, it be thicker and a little wider in spots.

Easy job, just go slow and careful. If your stock has pillars, you have to shorten them.

Call Matt at WFC before sending anything, I was on the phone today with him. Up to his ears in crocs getting some big orders out, so he has no time for general gun work.
