anybody have these on a model 70 H&H, I just want to make sure they will fit with a 20mm objective leupold scope. Or for grins does anybody have the "low" rings with a 33mm objective and how much does it clear the barrel?

Thanks

I have Leupold Superlow 1" rings on m70SA. leupold 2.5-8x (36mm objective)clears barrel by about .75mm at largest diameter.
Eyepiece clearance is about 3mm from raised bolt handle.

I have a set of super low Leupold QRs that I can't use on a Remington 700, as VX2 2-7x33 sat so low that the bolt could not be cycled. They work OK on a Remington 760.

The pre 64 70's do not clear the eyepiece as easy as the post 64's.

If you have the power ring on the scope (varible) then the low is probably your best bet...I use the super lows with my 3X Leupolds and 2.5X Lyman perma centers. Also I think you could use the Leupold 1x4 varible? About all one can do is try them.
