My local smith doesn't have a reamer for a 6x223. Can I order a barrel already set up for this caliber, then just screw the barrel onto the action? Sorry if this seems very basic to some, but I don't really know. Gary

If it were only that simple... It would still need to be fitted and headspaced. If he has any experience installing barrels he can rent the reamer and do the job himself. _______________________________________________________________________________ This is my rifle, there are many like it but this one is mine. I did not know that renting a reamer was possible. He told me that he would have to buy one, $100-$150.

This outfit lists the 6x45 Ackley reamer, but you will have to call them to see if they have the straight up 6x45 reamer. http://4-dproducts.com/display...group=Rifle+Calibers _______________________________________________________________________________ This is my rifle, there are many like it but this one is mine. I've got a Clymer 6 x 223 reamer, It's marked strangely (6mm-TM) but measures out as a standard 6x223. I've always wondered how it would work, but haven't been curious enough to get a set of dies and see if they size a case to match the reamer. I got it with another reamer similar, that's marked 25 cal TM. I keep thinking I should contact clymer and ask for a reamer print, but never remember to do it. dave
