Can a Kimber short 308/7-08 size action be "opened up" enough to take a standard COL of 7x57? I think the 7x57 has a 3.065 COL.

A guy did this to a GMA short .308 size action for Craig Boddington.

I know about the 7-08. Just like the 7x57 and wonderd if this would be possible?
