Comments I keep hearing from Savage owners who have installed... or "attempted" to install... them. Which is why I keep telling people to go with the Rifle Basix triggers.

I just installed one on my new Savage, The installation was pretty straight foreward. It looks like a good quality unit. I also put an aftermarket stock on at the same time so I don't know if there would be any interference with the factory stock. The only thing I don't like about it, the pull doesn't feel the same from shot to shot. It may not be the triggers fault but it seems to have more "creep" with some shots than with others. Has anyone else noticed this? Ken

I just installed the Sav2 Rifle Basix Trigger on my 110 FLP. It was very easy to put the parts on; however, I have one major gripe. The web site and sinclair catalog state this trigger should be between 12oz and 14oz pull. I cannot get it to break less than 2.25# without it going off every other time I close the bolt.
Can anybody help me out here?

I'm guessing you got the wrong trigger. Either you ordered the wrong one or they shipped you the wrong one. I can't get to the Sinclair site from here at work, but that's my best guess.

Send it back. But, remember, a rubber mallet on the buttpad is a nice way to know if it's going to go off when dropped. When I install a trigger for a hunting rifle, it NEVER goes less than 3#, and is always dropped on the buttpad and/or tap with a rubber mallet. I'ld rather have the guy irratated over a scuff than his widow sueing me. I've turned away jobs where the guy wanted it less than 3#. Also, on some savages, you will have clearance issues. jeffe

Good man.
I suggested this because Rifle Basix DOES make TWO triggers for the Savage -- one "hair" trigger and one "normal-light" trigger. It's just my guess you wanted the hair trigger but got the other one. Let us know.

I have one Sharp Shooter and one Timney. The Sharp Shooter was professionally installed. It's on a 350 Remington custom. It breaks at 10-14 OUNCES. I hate it being that light. Kissed my buddy on the nose last week and bit me more than once. I have tried to adjust it. All that happened was the adjustment screws stripped out. Not at all happy.
The Timney was easy install, but it is not a multi-lever design. They quoted them around 12 ounces to 1 1/2 pounds I think. Mine is maxed out as low as I can get it around 3 and change. I'll try Rifle Basix next.
