I am trying to learn about the features of the 1920s' Rigby and Jeffery Rifles. Alf has posted quite a few pics (old posts) but they don't show up now, just the box and a red X. I'm hoping he might be so kind as to re post some of them. We are getting down to needing to make some stock shape decisions and need some pics of Rigby and Jeffery stocks. We are trying to find pics of Rigby's 1924 No.5 and No.4 Pattern stocks. And some Jeffery stocks of the 1920s' also. What are some of the differences between Rigby and Jeffery stock styles? Such as fore end tip shape and Ebony or Buffalo horn tips or plain? We're looking at making the fore ends at about 8" to 8.5" past the receiver rings. Heather's 6.5x57 (1910 Mex) & 9.3x62 (1908 Brazilian) will have 25" barrels. I am trying to decide between 25" or 26" on my 6.5x57 & .375H&H (both on 1908 Brazilians). Comments thoughts? We are using L-W Contour #5130 Mauser Type E Sporter barrels. With two scaled down for 6.5x57 Mausers and one in 9.3x62 (Heathers) and one .375H&H with drop mag box (mine). With the 1 standing & 2 folding rear sights on the ring base. ANY help with pics or descriptions or pointing to where we can find pics would be most appreciated. We are trying to make these as 1920s' period correct a reasonably possible. I realize there are verification even with in the same makers guns.
