Hi
I've been offerred a vz33 mauser in 8mm for a project rifle, any thoughts on the pro's and cons of using this action, it looks to be well made. I'm hoping to have it rebarrelled into 280 AI. Many thanks

Rod--

The VZ-33 is the same action as the G33/40. They're two of the scarcest and nicest M-98s around.

It deserves the BEST work on it, not some hammer-handed snuff dipper with a buffer.

Are you offering your services to prevent any damage [Big Grin]
The action is very nice, I would easily want one [Big Grin]

I saw a rigby rifle for sale, an intermediate in 7X57. The condition was good, but you can never be to happy [Roll Eyes]

Some idiot that should have been taken away right after birth had fitted the scope in a side mount on this rifle and drilled holes in the side of the receiver [Mad]

Take care of your action and don'r do anything like this, good luck

Thanks for the info, this action is still on a carbine type 8mm and will be treated with the care and respect that it deserves. My gunsmith is a very careful craftsman and has very high standards of workmanship.

Cheers
