I'm trying to find out what the thread pitch is for the Arisaka type 99 barrel, 7.7 Jap. Also, What is the thread pitch on the type 38, 6.5 Jap?

For the Type 38 v type 14 tpi. For the Type 99 v type 17 tpi works.

If you have a lathe that cuts metric threads try 1.5mm pitch. That is about 16.93 TPI.

Test thread a stub to check it.
