Uncle GrinchI remember working at a local gun shop back in the late 70’s and we had a Winchester 1895 in 7.62 Russian on display for a long time. Had to be close to a year. No one was interested in it. Yeah… pre-internet.

dpcd95 7.62 Russiansa are rare; they all went to Russia and didn't come back.

biglukeA rare rifle indeed. I would love to see winchester reproduce this model as one of their new issues.

bpesteveThe 7,62R Russian version of the Winchester 1895 is certainly rare in the USA, but from the production figures I have seen quoted those sent to Russia (and never came back) amounted to nearly 70% of the total production of M1895s; 293,816 out of 425,881.
